Hello I’m Tom

Designer / Maker / Illustrator

With nearly 20 years’ of experience, I have worked with some of the UK’s most dynamic creative agencies, for some of the world’s leading consumer brands.  I have had a diverse and varied design journey that has allowed me to develop a broad toolkit of creative skills.

Since getting my degree in Industrial Design from Loughborough University, I have used this creative toolkit to solve design challenges in sectors including, consumer, medical, defence, FMCG and telecoms.  The leap into freelance and independent contracts allowed me hone the digital illustration skills required to communicate complex ideas.

The purchase and renovation of my first home allowed me to build a home studio/workshop and sparked an interest in furniture making. I started to develop a range of traditional craft skills that has allowed me to realise my own collection for private customers and allowed for a brief stint of converting luxury campervans.

Outside the studio, I have had the pleasure of to sharing my design knowledge as an associate lecturer at the University of West of England (UWE) and part time tutor at Bath Spa University.

If you can’t find me, I am likely to be out coaching the next generation of aspiring cricketers or exploring the South West with a bike under my bum or a surfboard beneath my feet.

Keep up to date with whats going on in the studio
