We were asked to design and fabricate a freestanding fire pit to warm our clients when entertaining guests in their garden. The Helix fire pit is produced from 3 sheets of 3mm steel, profiled and joined together to form a dynamic spiralling geometric form, which creates a raised tapered cavity to place wood fuel. The custom made piece is designed as a piece of sculpture and act as a focal point in our clients garden. Helix has been coated with a heat resistance finish that will slowly oxidise over time maturing to a beautiful red hued texture with use.
